Co-Creating Ceremony

Celebrations and ceremonies or rituals have been part of the human experience for as long as we have been on the planet, whether they are seasonal eg Solstices and Equinoxes or personal eg Births, Deaths and Marriages. We can combine our modern tastes and sensibilities  with the traditions of our individual heritages, lineages and cultures.

Unlike the formal, traditional or conventional ceremonies of religious and state institutions, our events are individually designed and created in tandem with you, resulting in a unique and personal occasion.

Madeline Lees and KAren With are independent celebrants and have many years experience of creating memorable and unique ceremonies in different settings, both indoors and outside in nature. We work mainly in East Anglia (UK).

We always consult extensively so that the final event is in your control. Anything is possible with imagination and creativity! You can include your own choices of music, costume, visual effects, humour, poetry and dance, being as inspired as you wish.

We are  secular but eclectic, and are happy to incorporate aspects or readings from all cultures and spiritual paths, respecting the ideas and beliefs which you, your family and friends wish to bring.

We will conduct the ceremony, hold the focus and create a memorable and inclusive atmosphere, in which the principle players and the witnesses are active and involved.

We have lived in East Anglia for some time and have worked with local Funeral Directors and Wedding Planners, and can recommend venues for your event.
